OK I was doing it wrong, now comes up as cart id overide however result is same. Says erasing
, successfully erased then flash failed. Cart is untouched.
No matter got one flashed, would of been a spare anyway, maybe flashable in the future

Try uploading exe using either No$psx or attached X-Killer.
upload with the patched x-killer, now on the newest rom. the version you posted says xrun1ff.bin file is missingSquaresoft74 wrote: ↑July 19th, 2020, 10:57 amTry uploading exe using either No$psx or attached X-Killer.

X-killer is really outdated this can happen depending on your rom version.
What version did you flash?
i just flased my smart cartridge with no problems. make sure the switch is in the on position.Puppydogpals wrote: ↑July 20th, 2020, 3:08 amWhat version did you flash?
@sickle pictures of chip and id that I can't flash,
i accidently cloned the cart to itself and it said it done it successfully, percentage went up anyway.
Also any idea of why I had issues with cheat discs as per previous posts
Also the clone cart page looks corruot as it looks like it's merged with another page that mentions dont stare at laser!
If you need more pics let me know

I'm using Maxwell cd's burned at 8x got them from tesco reduced to clear 25 for £5 (4.50 with my staff discount) all other games work spot on with and it did boot OK using breaker pro so might of been a bug, saying that my rebuilt ones work fine now. Will retest when update is out and report back.sickle wrote: ↑July 26th, 2020, 7:52 am Hi, sorry for the delay - been hard at work.
Thanks for keeping on top of things, Squaresoft, Love yah <3
@ Puppydogpals,
Cheers for the feedback.
The disc issue has been fixed and will be rolling out shortly
"Error during SysCNF" etc does suggest it doesn't like the discs you're using though.
Try Verbatim?
So... the chip you posted The "Flash" branded one.
I have one the same, and it can't be flashed without a 12v source.
I think I'm right in saying if you go into caetla with it, for example and try to save settings... it won't save there either.
Essentially, they knew what they were doing and put out cheap carts which couldn't be written to![]()
Hah, right, perfect... yeah switch from Maxell to Verbatim.Puppydogpals wrote: ↑July 26th, 2020, 9:08 amI'm using Maxwell cd's burned at 8x got them from tesco reduced to clear 25 for £5 (4.50 with my staff discount) all other games work spot on with and it did boot OK using breaker pro so might of been a bug, saying that my rebuilt ones work fine now. Yeah if I manually try to add games or codes they don't save. Can a 12v be added somehow to flash, I'm not adverse to some soldering if required. Would that not damage the ps1 if extra power was introduced though?
Thanks for your replies
