It's a dual banked SST FX, newer model.
You can flash it using the UniROM boodisc itself. :)
Use Install -> Restore Cheat Cartridge -> Xplorer Roms menu.

I have an Xplorer FX Pro cart which boots to a black screen.


Which FX model is it ?
Old Atmel one or newer Winbond, or Dual SST ?
Unirom should let you know that in the status screen.
Be aware that some older FX roms version will only work properly with Atmel based FX.

Since there's no generic driver you can use for this game you'll have to go through the PSF ripping learning process .
That if you really want to rip that one yourself.

The bgm data format is very close to what's used with the first Syphon Filter game but with minor ...

Nocash has the perfect tool for your needs as you can use no$psx Filesystem Viewer:

1. File -> Load Diskimage (open your iso selecting the cue file)
2. Window -> Filesystem (BLASTO.LFS -> OVERRUN -> LEVEL1 -> AUDIO)

Bgm files you want to extract are the .MMD, .MDI, .VH, .VHB ones
Find them all in ...

They do.
Sequences and samples bank headers are custom format so they need their dedicated driver to play.
You can't just use a generic seq/vab driver to make PSF from these games.

This is the explanation + source code on how to recompute the checksums for a sector you've modified.
If you just need tools for this, you can try ECCRegen or EDCRE.

Edit: @Squaresoft74 I noticed these aren't uploaded on hcs/joshw. Have you thought about uploading them there for backup purposes?

I will upload them there at some point.
For SF1 i need to complete timing and release notes.


Likely it could be the sound driver that causing this in SF2 and SF3 ...

Only TSQ files i've ever heard of are Takara's custom sequence format used by Choro Q Wonderful!.
But i guess it's completely unrelated to what you're after since you mentioned Sony's graphic file formats document. :shrug

While i'm not taking any PSF request, i do have all 3 games ripped since a while but left them untimed so far.

Thanks for pointing this out.
I didn't know it could be an issue at all on some system as i'm a Windows only user.
Just rename GTMENU.psflib as gtmenu.psflib if needed then.

gtmenu.psflib is the sound driver .
gt.psflib and gtj.psflib contain the samples bank and sequences data.
*.minipsf files ...

Was it with using the current UniROM 8.0.K version ?
I can flash mine just fine with letting UniROM auto-detect it.

You can flash/restore AR/GS PRO devices using Unirom boot disc .
The following decrypted roms are part of the included Datel romset:

I've noticed the bios clone still reports version 2.1.
