A few months ago,
5x DTL-H2010's went on eBay UK for $25.00. I didn't bid since postage costs were out of my league at that time. If I did pick them up, they would have been perfect for the DTL-H2000's I got that could have been sold at low prices in the store. It's a real shame really
I have also had a news placement on the homepage (as of 13/JANUARY/2014) since I have needed one for quite some time now.
The drive would be used to help dump some important missing metadata for
NO$CASH's research.
It will also open the possibility of making any retail PlayStation 1 use an IDE CD-ROM drive since it is rumored that the drive contains a TDK drive
So, I would like to request that if anyone has a working or faulty drive that they would like to sell, let me know as I am very keen on getting one. If you don't have the cable, that's alright, but it may be difficult to recreate one since I would not know what pins would possibly be crossed. Postage will have to be to Australia, but I doubt it would be $130.00 for only one drive
This is what they look like in case you walk by one at a flea market someday:
Thank you.
