All good ?
Can any friend help me transcode a psx SCPH-5552 pu-18 1-664-537-62 from PAL to NTSC?
I soldered a 53.66, raised pin 7 of the cxa1645 and injected 5v, but it didn't stay in NTSC.
Is there anything else to be done?
Need help to transcolde pal to ntsc scph 5552
Do you mean NTSC frame rate (60Hz), or NTSC color encoding (but what for)?
Anyways, to "stay" in NTSC, you may need to use a cdrom with an NTSC game on it.

The existing pal/ntsc mods are mostly intended to run import games, not to convert the whole console from pal to ntsc. The latter would only make sense if you really like the challenge of doing overcomplicated or outright crazy things. But if you are up for that...
For 60hz boot menu, replace the boot rom by a ntsc version. You might also get away with an expansion rom cartridge, or maybe (?) some modchips can patch the boot rom into ntsc mode. For 60hz games, use ntsc cdrom versions. But normally, it would seem easier to just use a pal-compatible monitor, or to use a ntsc console.
And generally, if you are messing with the crystals, and before doing that kind of full-conversion expert mods, you are aware of the more obvious beginners problems? Like, pal will stop working if you do completely remove the pal crystal.
