I never understood the impact of the different IRE levels when it comes to consoles. For instance if a JPN system and US system were connected to the same monitor via RGB, JPN would have a darker image? Or does it only affect the composite signal?
In theory, it only applies to composite and Y/C - in practice, given the way it's implemented on the PSX, it also shifts the DC level of the RGB outputs too. But you may not see any visible effect from this depending on your monitor, since it's also outputting the same elevated black level during the horizontal blanking interval which is normally where the monitor establishes the black level.
Note that this is different from the US style NTSC signal - in that, the reference level during the blanking interval is still 0IRE and the 7.5IRE setup is only present during active line time.

Not only the SCPH-1000 runs with a PU-7 Mainboard, also the SCPH-3000 does, they just removed the S-Video.
There was zero information on the net about the rare PU-7 Mainboards, so i traced the board with the help of some schematics. Counting pins on a 80-pin HC05 QFP isn't that easy.
And here I'm now, done and exhausted, but at least we got a hi-res diagram with Stealth support now for all the dirty PU-7 Mainboards out there.

PS1 is love
2x SCPH-3000 were tested now, its worth to note that these Systems don't suffer from FMV Lag at all! Even with the Stock Laser Lens.
I also managed to place in a 230V EU(PAL) PSU into the Japanese SCPH-3000. If someone need that diagram, just let me know

Thanks for sharing its working with my PU-7. Actually i have two PU-7 motherboards. But another one is not working with stealth mode. I tried to play Dance Dance Revolution and it get stuck it get detected as modified system screen. Anyway the motherboard model number is 1-655-322-11. I guess this is the earlier version of PU-7 motherboard.
If you know how to make this motherboard stealth please share here.
