psxdev.net slow loading and timeouts

Post by nocash » August 4th, 2023, 10:44 pm

Since 1-2 weeks ago, psxdev.net seems to be be slower than usually.
The transfer speed in bits/seconds seems to be okay, but the browser is spending most of the time on "waiting for response". And I am frequently getting this error:

Code: Select all

Connection timed out Error code 522
Visit cloudflare.com for more information.
2023-08-04 11:20:33 UTC

You            --> Browser         Working
Hamburg        --> Cloudflare      Working
www.psxdev.net --> Host            Error

What happened?
The initial connection between Cloudflare's network and the origin web server
timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.

What can I do?

Please try again in a few minutes.

If you're the owner of this website:
Contact your hosting provider letting them know your web server is not
completing requests. An Error 522 means that the request was able to connect
to your web server, but that the request didn't finish. The most likely cause
is that something on your server is hogging resources. Additional
troubleshooting information here.

Strange. It could be from the database side. I'll check it out.

Does that problem happen to anyone else?
Loading time is about 5-10 seconds, with occassional timeouts, and it does occassionally shows distorted pages, eg. with missing icons on the left of the topics list.

I couldn't find anything in the database. The issue might be on your end because multiple test sites worked fine with a paint time of approximately 1.5 seconds. Here is a result from Germany: https://www.webpagetest.org/result/230816_BiDc71_35W/

I don't know why, but it's now working faster again (since friday).
