New to the scene

Post by Estacaco » October 31st, 2012, 4:27 am

Hey there, I'm new to console game dev but not new to game dev. I have experience in Turing, BATCH, Java, J++, and Hammer for coding. I've also gone to school a bit for Game design (2d/3d models, story boarding, etc). Have a modded PSX and figured why not give making a few simple games a shot. Anyone have any recommendations on where to start? What programming language is everyone using? What are you using to compile it? What are the benefits/down sides to each SDK? I've been searching through the internet and this is the only PSX dev community I could find that had any sort of activity.

Also am I good with just a modded PSX or do I still need an interfacing cable and AR/Xplorer?

Thanks!
