Hello, I am Amura, I am 22 years old and I have had an interest in coding for the PSX since it came out back in the day.
I have experience developing for X86 PC hardware, FPGA, ATMEGA Hardware (like Arduino), Xbox Development, Wii Hacking and am working on a 3D Fighting game for arcade release with Team Dual-Sword.
I currently possess a chipped NTSC-U SCPH-7001 Console with a Goldfinger 2M cheatbox with parallel port and would like to use this to eventually run raw data from PSX arcade based machines such as Taito G-net off of common tools such as SD card, SCSI/ATA.
Right now I am poking with a stick the RAM and I/O for inspiration into things to do with what essentially could be describe as a "Walkman taped to a 3D Card" in terms of what this machine is designed to do.
My biggest project is to map out a full PSX Motherboard and etch a custom Mini-ATX PC board based on the arcade designs to basically run a MIPS based system with an MMU, full linux kernel with built in development tools, more ram and standard I/O such as HDMI, VGA, IDE, SCSI, SD and USB to enable the machine to be essentially a "Riced up PSX with the kitchen sink" setup that can play any MIPS Based platform games including Consumer/Arcade PSX, CoJag and Consumer/Arcade N64. This requires a bit of effort and I'll be playing around with this idea over winter.

Hi Amura,
Nice to meet you. I'm Sergio and I'm also interested in coding for PSX. I have experience in C and C++ coding, but I haven't got any psx with parallel port yet, just a PAL 9002 psx.
Your projects sounds great. Good luck with them!
