Sony playstation Classic aka mini
Anyone else picked one up?
Very nostalgic!
But shame the USB controllers don't work on my Linux PC, 'unable to enumerate USB device'

I cancelled my preorder when i read it was using PCSX.
Not that it's bad but i can already run it on my PSTV (using Retroarch) as well as Sony's own emulator using Adrenaline.

To be honest, I don't care about the device itself (lackluster emulator). However, the controllers being USB did entice me to buy, since I could potentially write a driver and use it in my Mac build pipeline (debug: wine ccpsx -> mkiso -> emulator; release: final test on DTL-H2000 -> burn to cd -> play on real psx). In the end, I decided not to buy it, since 100 euro's for two controllers, felt like it was too much money.

I was hoping it would work too for the same reason.. but I didn't by it just for PC controllers... it's convenient.
I asked on reddit here, some win10 users say it works.
And I paid more then the 150AUD on just RR-T4, Tekken 2 and Dest. derby 2 in 1998-99, which I don't have anymore
But, the real reason why I think it's worth it, is that it's not much more then the 8bit - 16bit consoles:
And it's not made by AT Games
The hardware and games were as I expected... and yeah I was going for the analog sticks that weren't there.. it's a trip
I think Sony made a mistake only having a single controller on the front tho

Are the pads comparable to the originals?

looks like they used a lot of the original moulding design:

Yep, seems to be good quality again.
Now these pads just have to go on offer without the console thing ;p

I have been following the news around PlayStation Classic and it seems like hardware is of good quality but software is shoddy (PCSX ReARMed, lack of options, slower PAL titles, crappy interface, etc).
Once it's hacked I believe it will be a pretty neat system to own.
Would be cool to have Retroarch with XMB interface on it.

Dev console: SCPH-7502, FreePSXBoot, CH340 serial cable.
