Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
u could, but i did not. i usually try to keep the actual hacking 2 a minimum, but yeah, you can modify the SEQ all u want to get more space if u want.

Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
Yeah, u can use samples of any resolution. I've used a couple for Roll's voice samples. I believe they're straight 44.1 khz 16bit. The steps are pretty simple too. If u change the pitch, u can save on space too. In the end, just use VAGTOOL for the final VAG file output. And in VABTOOL u can change ...

Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
Sorry dude, https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/3f1o04ouxo7g5fp/d_e1m1.iso <- was the best i could do. (the drum kit is off by 1 octave btw) It's not bad (i thought it sounded pretty cool with that jungle beat), but not what the original sounds like. I'm sure Awave Studio can still do it, (I've done...

Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
Gimme the sound bank and midi and i'll see what i can do. Awave studio seems to do the trick. Once i've converted it over, i'll document the steps, ok

I need to keep separate directories for each boss. I'll just compress everything when i'm done.

Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
I released a PSXDEV compilation disc in epforums with your game in it Cool. Include it. Can't be mad at you for that ;) As for widescreen support, I'll pass on that one. Heck, I don't even have PAL support and that's a hell of a lot easier FIX than full blown Widescreen support (Sorry PAL users :cr...

Re: MIPS Assembler Syntax
Do u have a PDF viewer? I don't know ASM, but i found this PSY-Q Doc that has a lot of ASM banter. It's all gibberish to me, but maybe you can understand it. I think it has examples of all C and ASM equivalents. Honestly, i was gonna learn ASM until i found out C was enough. http://imageshack.com/a/...

Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
@Shendo Thanks for the info. I already knew about ePSXe and the OpenGL plugin making lo-res look like high res. Unfortunately when i ran ePSXe on OUYA it's was too slow for OpenGL to run efficiently... lucky i had a hi-res option. Who knew i would be able to bybass OpenGL all together and still get ...

Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
I would assume that you are probably getting real heavy flickering on real hardware?). Only in 640x480 resolution. A homebrew "PSX game that doesn't work on a real PSX" is only half as impressive. I think a 320x240 pixel that works o real hardware would be more impressive (though it could...

Re: ROLL BOSS RUSH -{Homebrew Project}- (PSX/PSone/Playstati
X and O button are both fine. I was just afraid that you were planning to use Triangle for confirm. Don't worry, i'll leave it alone... for now :) The patch is in your executable, either it must come from your source code, or, as is seems now: from your librabries. Ok, i'll look into that. See what...
