Agreed, without proper electronics training, what you're doing can be very dangerous. This is more than just simply swapping out parts at this point...

Re: UniROM V6 - New stuff and things.

Have u tried using the old time based swap trick to boot the flasher program again and reflash with a different firmware? I agree, it sounds like you may have inadvertanely installed a PAL firmware on ur cart

Re: [RPG] Zia and the Goddesses of Magic

I agree. Customers do not like modifications or messing around with stuff like that. They just want to buy the game, put it in the console and play. Whilst Sony's security for the PlayStation is really old and completely reversed, the problem is the CD-ROM security. Burners can't write the wobble o...

Re: [Diagram]SCPH-1000/3000 PU-7 MM3 Stealth Install

Hi Community, It started when I bought a SCPH-3000 from eBay. Because these Japanese Systems are not that common here in the EU. I just fell in love with the PU-7 Boards. Not only the SCPH-1000 runs with a PU-7 Mainboard, also the SCPH-3000 does, they just removed the S-Video. There was zero inform...

Re: [RPG] Zia and the Goddesses of Magic

Agreed, not to mention there a bootdiscs widely available as well as gamehunters etc for doing the swap trick (or unirom) safely for those who are squemish of soldering/dont have steady hands. I think most ppl are opting for emulation as well. We're the odd one's out who still prefer the real deal *...

Re: PSNee further development

You're overthinking it. As far as ik, the only reason the earlier 4 wire chips were detectable by certain "anti-mod" games is because they literally spam the authentication code endlessly . Normal, the hardware would ignore the extra code injections after initial boot, but sony eventually ...

Re: UniROM V6 - New stuff and things.

What brand of media are you using to burn your games? I highly recommend verbatim or tdk brand for use in game consoles as they're higher quality and more reflective than other brands so they read much better. Also the speed you're burning your discs at is another factor. Most drives these days wont...

Im not so sure you can legally post the link to that halftime show vcd lol. Uhhhhh the what now? Sounds like the polarity is messed up on the motor that spins the disc for some reason. So you're regular games are working just fine? If so, I'm dumbfounded as to why the polarity would flip the other way with only that disc.... never heard of such a thing

Re: Raycasting (Doom like graphics)

This should be entirely doable. There's actually a port of doom for the psx (I have it in my collection) it's an official release and everything. That being said, how it was done is beyond me, but it can be done Edit: here's a link to a random eBay listing for it, just to show you it's a legit game ...
