Re: Sony playstation Classic aka mini

I was hoping it would work too for the same reason.. but I didn't by it just for PC controllers... it's convenient. I asked on reddit  here , some win10 users say it works. And I paid more then the 150AUD on just RR-T4, Tekken 2 and Dest. derby 2 in 1998-99, which I don't have anymore  B...

Sony playstation Classic aka mini

Anyone else picked one up? Very nostalgic! 8-) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DtmeiotUUAEN5uK.jpg But shame the USB controllers don't work on my Linux PC, 'unable to enumerate USB device' https://www.reddit.com/r/PlaystationClassic/comments/a383y3/do_the_usb_controllers_work_on_pc/ [BBvideo=560,...

Re: Psy-Q SDK Legal Status

The copyrights have expired. It's classified as 'abandonware' now. Sony doesn't care about it because it doesn't make them any money. The SDK is very obsolete by their standards. That's not legal advice.. is it? lol Where is Sony's or SN System's notice of 'adandonware'? Saying a company hasn't act...

Re: Recompile Yaroze Source

Oh goodie you are trying again :) Ha, it's more complicated. I can't find a full 2000-2010 repo cygwin Might be easier getting a linux repo with a windows cross compiler and using that, but last time I tried: I've downloaded RH 6 (from 2000). See if it was/is that easy, except siocons is pure dos h...

Okay, so this will be my last go at this  The "newest" mipsel-ecoff supported gcc was gcc-core-3.3.6 from 2005-05-03 I'm not sure where I got 3.3.6 from? https://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/gcc-3.3/ states: Obsolete Systems MIPS: Generic ECOFF, mips*-*-ecoff* I should have used GCC 3.2.3...

Re: MinGW32 compiled GCC 7.2.0 Toolchain (mipsel-unknown-elf)

Here's a download of the GNU GCC 7.2.0 Toolchain and Binutils 2.29.1 compiled using MinGW32 for 32-bit Windows hosts. Thanks for this, I'll have to try it out! And +1 for a yaroze (ecoff) build. Maybe upload your PSX toolchain configs or source tree to github or a zipfile etc? I could look at it an...

Re: Blade Libs + MIPSGCC + Jum SDK

I haven't discarded PSXSDK!!! lol I actually downloaded your repo and compiled it with the old psxsdk/msy compiler at the start of the week. A bit busy at the moment doing a few things, but I'm looking forward to looking into it more. Saying that the blade 3D coding looks really impressive to me.. i...

Re: Recompile Yaroze Source

Yeah, that's not the reason why I gave up, but this: So, I guess this is the process: Compile an old 1999-2000 toolchain; then with that, Compile the mips-ecoff NY toolchain    You can only build a toolchain with a compatible toolchain, so that would be a nightmare just figuring tha...

Re: Simple (?) question about Parallel I/O

F
I believe you are correct.
If you have an ISA slot and a comms card any action replay will work.. but
Alternatively, you can solder a serial to USB cable to the PSONE , danhans42 the man! :praise 8-)
It mentions Net Yaroze, but I'm sure it's SERIALPSX compatible? :shrug

Re: 32/64 bit compatible yaroze set up or alternatives

No success, I tried building a few things, gcc, djgpp and even siocons, but no luck... all over my head :( I use linux and windows via virtualbox (winXP) but serial didn't work via VB so had to use dosbox in linux. Not sure how the binaries would go in a 64bit windows, If you're PC doesn't have seri...

Re: SERIOUS TOPIC : What about a full tutorial ?

Actually, I KNOW how to make game (I made a frickin' 2 players Chess), but what I want to learn, is PS1 programming, because it's fun. And I will do it, even if you think it's too hard "for me". It can take time, but I will be able to create games on the PS1 one day. Thanks for "all ...

hi Guys So its been a long time, having played with yaroze long ago. Re: SIOCONS compatible USB Cable

Hi again :) So this is how I figured out my wiring. First, I cut the cable in two equal pieces, I didn't bother testing them before cutting, too much hassle and the test below is plenty proof they work! Next figure out which end is 1 and which is 8, ie from http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?...
