Re: PSXNET Library - Connect the PlayStation to the Internet
They use a series of AT commands to control them, with the default firmware. There are alternative firmwares such as esplink which use a webpage to handle the connection and then transparently pass the serial data straight through. Ive tried this with psxserial mapping a com port to an IP address bu...

Re: PSXNET Library - Connect the PlayStation to the Internet
This is great work I am currently playing around with an ESP8266 connected to my PSX and getting it working how I want is a serious test of my very very basic programming skills. The ESP uses 3.3v so can easily be powered from the PSX itself, and the ESP01 modules are very small. Ideally I would lik...

Re: Net Yaroze info magazine scan
I think I still have that very magazine somewhere. I remember reading it age 16 and wanting a Yaroze.. and then saw the price.
So I gave up on that and built the serial cable, and then moved on to the Xplorer+Caetla as soon as Caetla supported the Xplorer (v0.33 iirc).

Re: [TUTORIAL] Setting up the PSXSDK under Cygwin
I'm glad you finally got it working! If you have any questions regarding PSXSDK, please let me know. ) Will do. Im having problems getting my code to execute on the playstation using catflap and Caetla with the parallel port. I like using that due to the speed and it keeping the SIO port free, but ...

psxsdk Caetla/Catflap issue
Hi All, Does anyone use psxsdk with catflap/caetla? Every EXE I send to my PSX that is built using psxsdk comes up with the following error http://www.psxdev.net/forum/download/file.php?mode=view&id=1241&sid=ff0a18ea06dda77c4b22457c00b0a69a Obviously some of the psxsdk examples have data fil...

Re: [TUTORIAL] Setting up the PSXSDK under Cygwin
Hi Xavi92 Yep, just edited my post above, changed to GCC 7.1.0 and Bin Utils 2.28 and im now building GCC, so got a lot further. Thanks EDIT: Works perfect with the above. Only thing I had to do was to install zlib (as I hadn't), and also create a symbolic link for mkisofs, as mkisofs isnt in the de...

Re: Video IDU test v1.1 disc
It does just do that, I also believe it records the amount of times each video has been played to a memory card. I havent seen that myself but I saw that information somewhere else. I will get some pics up of the device that came with it too. Its made by a British company that I believe used to be a...

Re: Cheat file for Caetla/Xplorer/etc
Never tried with 0.38 when I last used cheats it was on 0.34.
You loaded the files onto the memory card and then just went into cheats from the main menu and that was it.

Re: UniROM V6 - New stuff and things.
Working great here. Use it to boot my old yaroze boot disc and Caetla works great with Gregs USB tool. the auto psxserial thing is way cool! Just such a shame you have to put a disclaimer on there due to people selling your free work on eBay :-( there are some a**holes about. Thanks for your hard work

Re: Cheat file for Caetla/Xplorer/etc
Caeflash doesn't work withas xp/2000 you need 95/98 or ME. Easiest way is to create a bootable CD/USB memory stick and stick the Caetla on there. Then you can flash your cart and cheats without having to do a full windows install Then you can use Catflap on Windows XP for communication. You can't fl...

What port would you most like to see on PSX?
Not a request as such, just wondered what you would you most like to see ported to the PlayStation?
Got to admit.. I'd love a source port of Wolfenstein 3D and also a decent spectrum emulator with sound and support for loading games..

SIOCONS for Linux
Not my own work I might add, but a quick and dirty port of Siocons for linux. Compiled on Mint/64bit, source included. Defaults to ttyUSB0
Can be changed to other default port, just edit the Makefile and re compile it.
Enjoy
