New cord to Playstation controller ?
I was wondering, that is there possibility to put new, longer cable to controller ? What I've noticed, while doing some research, is that CAT 6-type ethernet cable could be suitable to put between controller and the plug, since it has same number of wires and the ground shield. My only worry is that...

Re: I am a fanboy of the playstation 1 and you?
And when the Steam Machine from Valve comes, it changes the whole console-scene. Basically, it's just PC in a very tiny box and can be used as a media center with TV. But, we must not forget the good old days.

Re: Good wireless psx/ps2 controllers?
I'm also curious about those, because I got big TV and 3 meters between it and couch, can't laid back, because the controller wire is just 2.5 metres long. Could it be possible to change the cable to longer one, CAT6-cable has same wires inside, so there's already the wire existing.

Read it couple times, it's more like your two's inside joke, so maybe that was the reason, that it didn't.
But, everytime when I start some game, my girlfriend says to me; ''goodbye to romance...''
I simply just buy flowers before that and she's happy.

Re: Playstation SCPH-1001 Laser
Hmm, was the replace part model same as the original ? Sounds like that the laser unit, that you bought, wasn't same that the original. There's four kind of versions of it, KSM-440ACM, KSM-440ADM, KSM-440AEM and KSM-440BAM, so first of all compare the old one and the new one, that are they same vers...

Re: Playstation SCPH-1001 Laser
I replaced worn out laser unit couple months ago, cost about 15 dollars. Got it from here: dx.com OEM-quality product and works fine. And they even got the different versions of it, because there's different kind of drives between the SCPH-models, so make sure, that you open your machine and read th...

Re: PS1 cooling system, possible to integrate ?
Okay, so it can handle it pretty well. Maybe it's just in some models, that have the problem (early or the late models ?). And usually when the machine is on the floor, it get cool air from the floor and there's plenty of ventilation room around it, but in a TV-set shelf, where's sometimes limited s...

PS1 cooling system, possible to integrate ?
I guess many people have been thinking those overheating issues, that have come over the years with PS1, so I started to wonder, would it be possible to built in couple very small cooler fans and even get the power for the from the power source of PS1 ? That could give more lifetime to the consoles ...

Re: PSX with Component cable.
I've also bought a Component cable for PS1, but it only brings B&W picture, so it's useless, works only with PS2/PS3, which support YPbPr-signal. RGB-cable is the way to go, hard to find, but if you find, picture quality improves mutch.
