Re: Question regarding the InterACT GameShark (2.3)

So, while I can still flash the card and play backups and imports, I cannot use PC comm functions without some convoluted ISA-PCI-E setup. No problem, as like I said I will get a PSIO once they're available. I appreciate the clarification.

Re: Question regarding the InterACT GameShark (2.3)

LIke Orion_ said in the thread you linked to, only v3 of the gameshark cart can use the printer port, all other versions require the comms card, TMK the comm cards are ISA slot. So they can be used to communicate with the PC, just not with a standard interface? I intend to get a PSIO at some point,...

[SOLVED] Question regarding the InterACT GameShark (2.3)

EDIT: Since it's still the top thread, I figured I'd add that the GameShark flashed nicely (after making three CD coasters and 13 attempts at the swap trick). It can at least let me run... backups of games off the CD-R. It doesn't quite solve my coms problem, but I can at least test it down the roa...

Mastering a PSX disc for unmodded consoles.

I am aware of the futility of such a question, and have seen the general answer as "No. Never", but I am asking this from a slightly different angle. While it is imposable to burn a PSX disc with a consumer CD/DVD/BD burner, are there any devices out there than can be modified to do so? Say I were t...

Re: Psy-Q on x64 system? [Arch Linux/Windows 8.1]

Alright, got psyq up and going mostly. Though I am curious on one more thing: Is it possible to get it to work with Visual Studio [Express] 2013? I use Notepad++ and cmd and, while I'm used to that, I would like to use a proper IDE as this isn't a web language, or ASM. :)

Thanks for the guide. I'll post if I get it running.

Psy-Q on x64 system? [Arch Linux/Windows 8.1]

I am looking to give PlayStation development a go, and try out PsyQ. I have some experience with XNA (C#), Android (Java), as well as some assembly (exclusively the for 65C816 of the SNES); so I am fiarly confident I will be fine once I get the toolchain up and running. However, that is where the pr...
