Re: Compiling RUNIX (PSXLinux)
i believe this is as far as the runix guys got because you cannot mount a 128kb EXT2 partition if you were planning to use the memory card for anything.. I dont know what FS they used but they have code inside the runix sources for multicard support, and they say they planned on CF card support (or...

Re: Provenance emulator
Hi welcome Frank, https://github.com/Provenance-Emu/Provenance/wiki/BIOS-Requirements#sony-playstation this page seems to indicate that you need to "import" these 3 bioses just like roms. You should be able to find the right bioses right here: http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56...

Can you share more info about this Access Card ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_Yaroze "The Access Card, a dongle which must be placed in memory card port 1 in order to boot programs which were loaded from a PC." It was a memorycard without the storage IC and the program on the control...

Re: Super GameBoy like for PS1 !
WOW! After two years what an unexpected surprise! Thank you guys for sharing all these informations and files! I think we should better find a way for the emulator to load files straight from a folder. I think you better eitehr reverseengineer their emulation core or compile your own emulator for t...

Re: PSIO alternative ?
Arduino isnt powerfull enough, RaspberryPi probably neither. especialy the IO output. Maybe if you take the ALTERA Cyclone 3 FPGA and add it to your RaspberryPi you might be able to put out the right IO with speed and accuracy. but basicly youll be reworking the PSIO and the price ;) Raspberry can d...

Re: [SUCCESS] [WTB] Looking for Small/Mini Action Replay Cartridges
Thanks :D Cute tiny board. Looks like eeprom indeed (the chinese fabs probably had loads of them, either nightshift leftover or clones (they work, good enough). CMOS Electrically-Erasable. Programmable Logic Device, well, code probably locked away. We probably know what it does or did you get it to ...

Re: PS1 Memory Card does not format or detect (Genuine)
You could desolder the actualy flashchip if all else fails and use a eeprom reading to look at the bytes, recover whats lost. but thats only usefull for if you want to recover something, if memcardduino doesnt see it, or fails like your ps2, sounds like either the controll or flashchip is broken. (y...

Tried other things, dint work. Thanks Gwald for your Makefile modifications, they are nice, and I was thinking about making a script that would do the configuration and making automaticly, but thats probably best for when I actualy get a working PS-EXE. http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=67...

Re: Compiling RUNIX (PSXLinux)
@Gwald, how big is your linux ecoff file after running the convert(elf2ecoff) tool and how big is the Executable when it is "converted" into a PS-EXE? I seem to run into the same old problem again I had earlier, it goes from arround 1.1Mb, 730Kb (stripped) eld to 716Kb as a ecoff, then the...

Re: Compiling RUNIX (PSXLinux)
I bougth that usb controller IC of some seller earlier this year for this very project. its not hard but can be expensive to get. Im sure there are more controllers today that would do the same job maybe better too. I havent figured out the way to format a memorycard yet (I mean, the format the EXT2...

The breakdown seems to be unrelated to your questioning. it was because of a memorycard.
