http://www.psxdev.net/forum/download/file.php?mode=view&id=445&sid=3903d2bf2a7ab2faaf80495b020c3c4b You don't have to use a crystal oscillator if you know how to build a simple XTAL based oscillator, but a sealed oscillator will always provide a much more accurate running clock :) The 'QXO-...

Re: PSNee further development
It won't work. Sadly, the NTSC-J bios is very different from the other regions. It's likely that there isn't a routine in it that can be so easily fooled as the PAL / NTSC-U check. Thanks for this info rama3. I'll go with a bios swap then. I'll swap the bios of my scph-7000 with the bios of a scph-...

Re: PSNee further development
Hello, I would like to know if the APPLY_PSONE_PAL_BIOS_PATCH define of the PsNee source code would work to patch the bios of a scph-7000 version. Apparently the regional check that were introduced in the PAL psones came from the japanese versions isn't it ? I know that you can get around the region...

Re: [Hardware Mod] NTSC/PAL reference oscillator mod for PU-
I would like to buy a SCPH-1002. Is there a way to know if the motherboard will have the traces for a second oscillator as shown in this picture :

Re: PlayStation PAL Series Colour/Color Modification (PAL60)
Can someone clarify what PAL60 is ? I get that that it is 60 hz. What I don't get is whether it is PAL color and PAL resolution or just PAL color with the lesser NTSC resolution

Re: Looking for a way to record FF8's sound effects
thanks for your answer rama3. I'm afraid what you're talking about isn't the right method for me. I do have an Xplorer cartridge. I've tried capturing some sounds but no sound effects show up in the captured sound window. Like someone mentioned in the qhimm forum final fantasy 8 creates sounds effec...

Looking for a way to record FF8's sound effects
Hello everybody, I'm new here. I'm looking for a way to record all of FF8's sound effects. I plan on doing this using an scph 1000 console instead of an emulator (for sound accuracy reasons). My only problem right now is to find a way to play all of FF8's sound effects so I can record them. In FF8's...
