Re: SCPH 5552 Little Sound Issue

Okay, I've watched the video. The SPU sounds okay and... probably the issued is CD-XA encoder (I think is partially damaged). Because the data are readed correctly, but no the XA/STR file type. No audio means -- no decoding. So, make a try -- Replace the CXD1815Q with a working one and see If there ...

Re: SCPH 5552 Little Sound Issue

Hello! Do you have a video about this issue? No music you say? TEKKEN 2 / TEKKEN 3 use .XA format. Maybe the CXD1815 is K.O? (CD-XA encoder) Do yourself this test: 1) Play music from CD player and check if is working (CD-DA test). 2) Play game with .XA format based (Tekken 3, Ace Combat 3 or Tenchu)...

Broken CD-XA encoder. License.dat didn't read correctly by this one. Replace CXD1815 with another.

Re: SCPH-1000 - Sound issue

So, the problem is absolutely the SPU.

But that's strange...

Check the solder and use a lot of flux.

Re: SCPH-1000 - Sound issue

Check if the PS plays the CD audio correctly (on cd player menu)... and if so, the problem should be the SPU.

Maybe you replace the CXD2922Q with a broken one.

Hello there, how's going? :3 I've a question for you, guys... My SCPH-1002 is working fine, but the pot for F.BIAS and F.GAIN are damaged -- so, of course, the laser doesn't working. Somebody know the correct value for these two SMD pots? https://i.postimg.cc/dt0rXyP5/POT-SCPH-1002.png Thanks a lot ...

Re: PSX SCPH-5502 AUDIO PROBLEM

Yeah, the IC701 is the CXD2545Q (CD DSP/ 16-bit linear DAC / XA ADPCM DECODER) and the other one is the 1815Q (CD ROM controller).
I think is the first one....just press the IC and see if it works or reflow the IC with some liquid flux ^^!
