Re: Stealth/ Anti mod Query on 7502

I used Xrider's diagram with mine.
Try to keep your wires as short as possible.

Re: Stealth/ Anti mod Query on 7502

I too have a 7502 with a MM3 installed and stealth works just fine here.
My original Japanese Dino Crisis, Legend of Mana and BioHazard 3 discs don't trigger the anti modchip.
Maybe you soldered it wrong ?

Re: UniROM 8.0.C - CartDetector, AR/GS V2 Support, ExHandler, etc

Great! Thanks, I tried the V3 rom. I have yet to try no$psx. Give it a try, it's extremely fast ! ;) You may need to run it as administrator to let it install nocash io driver. I'm using it with the nocash kernel clone flashed on a dedicated Xplorer cartridge to test my PSF rips. It's a great setup...

Re: making a gameshark pro v3 ?

Xplorer FX devices have a built in search engine and only allow you to store/restore game saves from/to a memory card. GameShark Pro (v3) devices have a built in search engine but also have a virtual memory card system allowing you to directly save game on the device itself. You can get one from thi...

Re: UniROM 8.0.C - CartDetector, AR/GS V2 Support, ExHandler, etc

@leafy You can use V1/V2/V3 roms with your device (256k ones). I gave a quick try with Xplorer V3 (England) r3.20 LIT 1999-08-11 and exe upload worked fine with no$psx without the wire/diode mod. You would just need to manually reset the console to then upload something else. Using Nocash Kernel clo...

Re: UniROM 8.0.C - CartDetector, AR/GS V2 Support, ExHandler, etc

You can use No$psx to send an executable over parallel cable to an Xplorer (you may want to use a V2/V3 rom with your device). I had to do this 1 wire mod to get it working with Nocash kernel clone, not sure if it's needed when using original XP roms, it's been a while since i tried with those. As f...

Re: Hello, trying to fix SCPH-1001 and Xplorer V2 questions

For your Xplorer needs, get Sickle's Unirom boot disc.
It contains everything you need to restore original Xplorer roms or install Caetla ones.

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

Can't get any better from the raw files i'm affraid. :(

Here's the updated wip set with the tempo fixed and playback volume set to max (0x7F instead of 0x40 previously).
I may update it later again to add tracks specific reverb depth.
Enjoy ! :)

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

As i said to Yagotzirck, i'd still be glad to try helping with ripping some other sequenced games if you have some titles to suggest. I just can't really guarantee to be much active on other boards. :) *EDIT* Boom ! Got the playback speed fixed. Hackish for now, until i can investigate more and upda...

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

Even if the game is buggy as hell i'm not really happy with the current driver state. But if that's fine for your needs then i'll just put it on hold for now and eventually get back to it a later point just for my own satisfaction. :D Was a fun project anyway so i guess i'll try my luck with other g...

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

@DD-Indeed Since i'm not sure when i'll get some time to try to fix my driver, I've just patched the game so it will play Bgm08-00CB on title screen and did a recording from real hardware for now. You can convert the other tracks to .wav using the PSF files and Duckstation if you want to update your...

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

Gave it a look and the XM file remains unchanged.
It's using some SFX samples bank @ 0x05B150 instead of the bgm one @ 0x1010 at those points.
Looks more like an ugly game bug to me.

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

If the tick mode is the current problem, fixing it should solve the playback speed for Bgm08-00CB. It's just not that easy to figure. The FLIRT signatures packs i'm using don't provide much result with that game, so most stuff is just assumed/guessed. As for Bgm0B-00CE i don't know, forcing the gam...

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

But the issue is only related to that one track If the issue is related to an incorrect tick mode being set, it's possible that it only affects a few track and still have others to play fine. It plays fine in game if i'm forcing it to load it. I had that once when ripping Samurai Spirits RPG with a...

Re: Extracting custom container (.DAT) package from disc

No$psx is fine to debug that game, it's more down to my limited knowledge in that domain.
Xebra is a good emulator but doesn't have a debugger.

I can test files on real hardware anyway, confirm that something is currently broken in my driver and is not an emulation issue.

Re: Does NO$PSX works on Windows 98 ?

Last i tried NO$PSX and Win98SE, it worked on my IBM ThinkPad T42 laptop (Intel Pentium M Dothan / 1GB RAM).
Not sure what it could give with your specs, give a try and let us know ? :)
