Re: PSNee further development
@rama3, after reading a good portion of this thread and currently being on the PS2 side of dev. I wonder if the MM3 chip design (or similar) was incorperated into say the Modbo 4.0 (or similar) for the PS2, as it would use some of the same code for both PS1/PS2 unlocking. If it had this gate groundi...

Re: Experimental PS1 Wiki
Ahh I see, thank you for pointing it out, I only tested it in IE, Firefox and Chrome. I'll see if there's a fix. Also is another english wiki wanted if google translate works? I mean am I wasting my time?

Re: Experimental PS1 Wiki
I can't see there being a plausible way to translate the wiki, other than Google translate. I'm setting up this wiki software more so because of its free and easily modable design. I don't seem to see any flash plugins? Also, would you be able to elaborate on the symbols, and crash. I have been usin...

MicroSD Memory Card Emulator
This is a placeholder for a project I'm working on, will use a PIC16 to interface a MicroSD card to the Memorycard port, and use a peice of homebrew to change the page on the SD, and to manage saves between pages. Will not use a filesystem on the SD but will directly access the storage of the card i...

Memory card information needed
Hey, starting a pretty cool side project for the ps1, based on the memory card port. Will be open source/kits made for sale.
looking for all information regarding the way the PS1 communicates with memory cards, and vice-versa.
Thanks for any contributions!

Re: Real PSX and plugging into network?
I looked into this, but its way more complicated, specially with games that aren't statically based. So ram would need to be synced between consoles and way more things that make it mostly impossible, on the majority of titles.

Re: 10 Wire Modchip please, please PLEASE help ;)
That modchip is from the original dealers of the PSX Modchip. PIC16C54 was used before Old Crow reversed and ported the code onto the then newly released PIC12C508.

Re: PlayStation 1 BIOS's [DOWNLOAD]
I wish i had the money to buy this unit, take off that board and see how exactly sony officially extended the functionality of their device. I am quite sad that there was a second processing unit inside though as the bios is less useful now.

Re: Wondering about CD drive data
You dont need to have an all-in-one solution right away, once PSIO has cd drive capabilites and can play games, reading from the cd drive to an iso could be a simple software update. Dont make a project take decades to finish

Re: PlayStation 1 BIOS's [DOWNLOAD]
I thought that too but i stumbled across the specs for that model and it had the same ram, processor, and additional hardware was not mentioned. You need too think, even the unofficial VCD mod piggybacks the bios, so it can play the disks, so even if it had the hardware embedded the bios would be di...

Wondering about CD drive data
Hey, i was going through ideas and was wondering about how the PS1 got data from the CD drive, and is it easy to interpret and intercept. Honestly i was going to see if i could make a slightly more advanced Anti-Copy protection mod that would simply take the data cable from the CD Drive, run that th...

Re: Overclocking the CPU with Software Control
Dont listen to them the voltage of the clock signal should affect they way it works as long as its in spec. The input frequency is tis the key lol and the r3000 is default max 40mhz so anything above this is gods blessing ill be testing stability when i overclock thats why i want to make a bench mar...

Re: Overclocking The CPU with software control (hardmod)
This is a very experimental mod thats adding too the double clock speed mod posted here: http://kyorune.com/modding/article.php?id=44 I by no means take any credit for the initial overclocking guide. My plan possibly with a frequency divider circuit, is too have a digital circuit that is connected t...

Re: PSone BIOS modding project
Should the syscalls not be left intact? Wouldnt this affect compatibility with games.
