SNES Playstation CDROM Prototype

Some PCB photos from the "Sony SFX-100 Super Disc SNES Playstation" prototype from 1992 have recently shown up in the internet, putting some light on how that unreleased console/add-on would have (or did have) worked...

http://problemkaputt.de/fullsnes.htm#snescartcdromdrive - snes cd specifications
http://problemkaputt.de/sns.htm - snes cd emulation
http://problemkaputt.de/magicflr.htm - homebrew snes cd game
The emulation and game would require a copy of the SNES CD BIOS cartridge (file "SFX-100.BIN" in no$sns "BIOS" folder). But even without that, the rev-engineered specs might be interesting, the PCB photos might be interesting too, but they are hiding here and there on various different webpages, and I've probably not seen the complete hardware yet (especially that "CD-ROM control board" mentioned on http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/sne ... ost-842450 still appears mysterious to me). TriMesh?
