BIOS transplant from Debugging Station (DTL-H1000) to consumer PSX

Hello, would it be possible to transplant the DTL-H1000 BIOS to a consumer PSX?
If I read correctly the DTL-H1000 could read mastered discs and did not enforce region lock.
So would there be advantages for the consumer user?
Thanks for any information.

You can but it would not make any difference. Its not the BIOS that enforces the region lock.

You don't want to swap the BIOS. You want the HC05. That's where the security is, but don't do that because there is no point. Just use a modchip. You'll ruin a DTL-H1000 for nothing by swapping it.
