I know I'm quite late to the party, but is there any need or interest in some of the BIOS versions that are missing? I have quite a lot of PS1 systems, so I may be able to help. I'm very technical, but have not dumped a PS1 BIOS before.
Cheers,
Ninjistar

Check your SCPH numbers on your PlayStation's. If it isn't listed, I will explain how you may dump the BIOS as there are a few methods as it will really help us for testing.
Yes, a DTL-H1001 BIOS would be helpful. If you are interested in dumping it, please let me know and I will explain to you how you can dump it (I will make a guide).

I believe I have a few that are not in the list. A guide would be great and much appreciated!

Here are the ones that I have that are not in the list:
DTL-H1001
SCPH-9001
SCPH-5501
SCPH-7501
I have other units stored that I have not yet checked, so I may amend my list later. I'm not sure if the SCPH versions are as significant as the DTL debug unit, but I'm happy to dump them if they are wanted or needed.

Well one method you can use is Shendos BIOS dumper which uses the Memory Card to dump the ROM into the cards memory so you can later dump it from the card to your PC:
http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=395
If you have an Xplorer you can also dump it via that. Another way is using the serial port. The most difficult is manually soldering wires to the ROM and dumping it.

You're still looking versions of the BIOS(not model), or already have them.

See Dark-Show's second post here:
http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.p ... &t=56#p385
You can see what BIOS's are missing from particular models. If you have them, send them in.

I am pretty confident, but not absolutely certain of the following, which you might want to research further:
Your SCPH-5502 seems to be a bad dump. Check offset 0x3E584 where we have "Sonyputetertent" instead of "Sony computer entertainment". No other bios from this era has corruption here; 4.0 and later bioses seem to be compressing this string, but it looks mostly comprehensible. Furthermore anecdotally, this bios dump simply doesn't work correctly (folks are using another one for gaming). Finally, it doesn't match the hash listed at
https://github.com/petrockblog/RetroPie ... ystation-1 for "Version 3.0 01/06/97 E". Bioses matching that hash get better results, anecdotally. I havent tested it myself.
Your SCPH-5000 seems to be a bad dump of version "Version 2.2 12/04/95 J". Check offset 0x13C where there is an "02" missing. Also note the extra "y K.S." within a few bytes which is unusual. I have no evidence that users are encountering errors or even using this bios dump version. However, I have another dump with that same version string, which matches the hash on the github link and has no such corruption, so I am inclined to consider that version more correct.
Also, your SCPH-7000 link goes to SCPH5502.bin. I studied your SCPH-7000 file by guessing the URL, and it seems OK.

Yeah I noticed that the 5502 dump was bad actually.
I have a dump from my system that I will replace with it soon. I forgot
Ah, my mistake! I have fixed the SCPH-7000 link. Thanks for that.

SCPH-5502 should have the same BIOS as SCPH-5552...
you will find that the redump.org BIOS collection is much more accurate/complete:
http://redump.org/datfile/psx-bios/
http://redump.org/datfile/ps2-bios/

Like I said, it's identical to the 5552 dump that was already linked.
Also, as I pointed out before, the SCPH-5001 doesn't exists, so it should be removed from the first post and also from this post

I can confirm that everything on the redump link matches my records. According to my some hours of study, it does seem the most accurate and complete.

I'll leave the 5502 dump anyway.
Okay, the 5001 has been removed Jackal.
Thanks for the confirmation zeromus
