Hello, I am looking for information.
I have a PU-8 motherboard which is sick.

Here is the symptom: all the CDs that the PS1 turned on display on startup :
Capture d’écran 2021-06-12 à 12.57.30.png
and then you can hear the CD player making noises identical to a CD player problem and it's freezing.

Freeze comes at the start of the game (a few seconds after the Playstation logo)

The console works fine in PSIO mode, so the CPU + work Memory system works fine.

The installation of the PSIO board is not the problem (problem before PSIO board installed)

So I need some idea on this problem, it will save me time and above all it will avoid transplanting all the chips to find the problem.

thank you in advance for your help

*Here is my first conclusion:
The problem comes from the CDROM control system :
- Mechacon?
- CXD2510Q?
- CXD1815Q?
- CXD2925Q?
- Memory of CXD2925Q?

Thanks

Broken CD-XA decoder. License.dat didn't read correctly by this one. Replace CXD1815 with another.

I think you can...

CXD1199Q and CXD1815Q have the same package and same number of pin (100 QFP)
