The downloads section here has the MIPS instruction set PDF for the R3000A, which is the same ISA as used in the PSX.
It's quite lengthy, but it's a good start to get familiar with it.

i cannot make a single step its too difficult to me
We all start somewhere. Nothing is too difficult if you put your mind to it.
Let us know what it is you are getting stuck on, and explain clearly what the end-goal is, and perhaps more help can be made. If you need assistance with the coding ...

Re: SCPH-9002 Microstutter in 240p test suite "scroll test"
Cool! I really like retrogaming myself, mostly into NES,SNES,GENESIS,NEO GEO, PSX kinda stuff.. I´m 40+ now so 95% of the new stuff released today isn't really that interesting. Nowadays its all about the graphical sunrays in unicorn reflections and water ripples in peoples tears kinda details the ...

Re: SCPH-9002 Microstutter in 240p test suite "scroll test"
Yea I noticed that even pressing buttons to change speed almost always results in an immediate stutter on the first few frames after the speed change, so there's very much a bug at least as far as I'm concerned.
And lol thanks, that's only a portion of what's visible. There's actually a whole ...

Re: [Hardware Mod] NTSC/PAL reference oscillator mod for PU-18
I'm honestly not sure. I have a DTL-H1001H with the same early GPU as yours, and honestly never tried this mod on it (I don't plan to mod this system personally), hopefully someone else has insights, I have service manuals for the later PU-18 and up, but nothing on anything earlier than that to ...

Re: [Hardware Mod] NTSC/PAL reference oscillator mod for PU-18
Probably gonna depend on which revision of the PU-8. When you say early, are you referring to the 1994 GPU with dual ported VRAM, or does yours have SGRAM? I do believe this will alter some things.Yagamisan wrote: April 30th, 2025, 6:35 am Hi, is it possible to do this dual crystal mod on a early PU-8 mb?

Re: SCPH-9002 Microstutter in 240p test suite "scroll test"
I'm connected to my TV via S-Video, both on an LCD and CRT.
Upon very closer inspection, there *is* a stutter I didn't notice before. It's so random for me though, it's not once per second, more like once every 10ish seconds. And sometimes in-between almost random. I should mention my system is a ...

Re: SCPH-9002 Microstutter in 240p test suite "scroll test"
For DuckStation, do remember your monitors refresh rate should ideally match the emulated system. ;) 50 or 100Hz for PAL, 60 or 120Hz for NTSC. If you already did that and DuckStation still stuttered, yea sounds like the 240p test suite is messed up. On my NTSC machine though I don't have this issue ...

Re: SCPH-9002 Microstutter in 240p test suite "scroll test"
Capturing a CRT shouldn't be too challenging if you know how CRT's and cameras work, it's more of a "can your camera let you manually set shutter speeds" thing..
Your shutter speeds you'll want to stick to are 1/30th and 1/60th for NTSC, or 1/25th and 1/50th for PAL. If your phone or real camera ...

Re: TTY comms via serial link support.
I don't think he's talking about TTY text output, but rather like how Doom lets you link two PS1's to play a multiplayer game on two separate TV's. I guess that wasn't supported with the Net Yaroze (with the NY libraries I assume).
What game is this, so we can look it up?

Re: SCPH-9002 Microstutter in 240p test suite "scroll test"
That extremely small amount shouldn't cause any issues. In fact, in general the clock would actually speed up or slow down the vertical retrace, therefore frame duplication shouldn't happen. So the fact frames are being duplicated (the micro stutter) is a tad unusual, but I have not done any ...

Re: SCPH-9002 Microstutter in 240p test suite "scroll test"
Just to rule out the TV, as I had a similar situation when using one of those cheap Hyperkin HDMI cables, is this a CRT or LCD? The shimmering in the trees happens from deinterlacing a non-interlaced source, and that too could be causing that stutter if the deinterlacer on the TV is wildly confused ...

Re: [Help] PS1 Recap - Lifted pad on C527, need advice for jumper
To be honest, the whole manual has scans that appear to be screenshots from their CAD software, and even worse, they aren't great scans, 1-bit monochrome. I have a good feeling these manuals were grayscale and did intend to show part placements (as I can see the outline of the capacitors, and they ...

Re: [Help] PS1 Recap - Lifted pad on C527, need advice for jumper
Well I just verified on my SCPH-5501 which has a PU-18, they are connected, and it's exactly as that scan shows. That scan is not useless, it's highly valuable in fact.

The diagrams are the PCB layout itself, namely the copper routing on the top layer (with some of the component shapes, so this might have been a screenshot from their CAD tool used). It's actually more than enough and quite detailed and good to have. You can even see the connecting trace in your own ...

Yep, if they are connected, a simple bodge wire is all that's required to fix that. The nearest point is always the best for reducing noise, and essentially you're just bridging it the exact same way it was done under the solder resist, but now above. Totally fine and acceptable repair.

The original post's PDF describes the differences between the PAL and NTSC machines. Therefore you have what you need to go forward with working on a PAL machine if you are converting it into an NTSC machine.

Re: MOD SOUND Music to PS1 Converter v2 Windows APP 32bit only
Install https://mendelson.org/ntvdmx64.html for 16bit support in win x64
But I thought ccpsx is 32bit and works in x64 (not sure either way).
It appears ccpsx is indeed 32-bit. It was apparently compiled targeting Windows 95, and written with Visual Studio 97 actually.

Re: Formula one 2000 question
I think the CDROM support on no$psx isn't 100% yet, but I don't know.
I think there shouldn't be any "not found" in that TTY log.
I noticed that, but here's the kicker, the not found errors, those files really aren't actually on the disc, but the games code is indeed looking for them. I can ...
