I trained the French PAL version of this game without any issues. (Only 1 cheat, Infinite lives though)
I used the Direct method of loading instead of compress.

After trying it. the trainer text is fully fixed, but the sinus scrolling text still has the space bar issue, and now uses the wrong characters.
I haven't tried ...
