Re: [WiP] Breakout for PSX
Wow, almost a year passed and my server went down! I just came here to tell you that I reuploaded everything (screenshots and version) and I will continue working on this project. In fact, I had a longer break from the PSX development after my initial attempts, but I am back. In the past few days I ...

Re: [WiP] Breakout for PSX
I just updated the game. Doesn't look like much, but was actually a lot of work today. I hope you enjoy the changes! I also updated the screenshots and the download link for the ISO file in the original post. Here's what changed: Completely revamped the controls. The paddle now accelerates and slide...

Re: [WiP] Breakout for PSX
Really good potential and very impressive! Needs better physics though and the camera movement is too rough. Try to make the camera smoother, maybe by adding a delay and 'speed ramp' algorithm to it so it's more fluid ;) The paddle shape is weird too. Not sure why it's got a cut-out on it. You can ...

[WiP] Breakout for PSX
Greetings! Today, I wanted to start the dev log of my very first game developed for the Sony PlayStation. I chose to build a clone of the popular game Breakout by Atari. The game will be a 2.5D game, meaning that you control the game 2D but it is actually rendered using 3D models. A licensed ISO of ...

Re: "LookAt" Function?
Hi LameGuy64, since MrQuetch didn't respond and I stumbled upon this thread, I want to assure you that the method works just fine, although there needs to be some clarification. For it to work, the vector input needed to be as follows: eye: VECTOR with each component multiplied by ONE at: VECTOR wit...

Re: Img not converting to ISO
I have the same issue. I too use WinXP 32 bit and I have no anti virus software running.
My guess is that the CPU is too new because it's an intel core i5 3570K. Unfortunately I don't have an older CPU yet.
Edit: With The Revenge of StripIso it worked!

Re: Competition #03 (Codeblast'14) - Marilyn: In the Magic World
I'm a little late here but anyway: Very impressive piece of work! I just tried it on real hardware (modchipped) and it worked. A little bit sad that it doesn't support the DualShock Controller with Analog mode turned on though. But it looks so well polished, even little details like the scroll bar i...
