As far as I know this bug has not been fixed. postal2201 did not have this bug, and I don't have the equipment to test it.Victini378 wrote: February 10th, 2024, 2:58 am...
As far as I can see, this bug still exists? Is there hope of a fix, or must we resign ourselves to using the switch?

gartoon285, you need to check the version of the bios and the correct soldering of the wires to the pins of the bios. Unfortunately, I don't know what the differences in the Atmega chips are, but I think they are not too critical.

Re: PSNee V8 - Ultimate PSX unlocker
Please, what are the pins: AX-BIOS, AY-BIOS and DX-BIOS on the IC102?
You should at least open the sketch file and look at it.
The pinout depends on the model of the console motherboard (which no one thinks it is necessary to specify).
However, here it is ...

Offtopics indeed. And I don't want to deviate from the topic here. Create a new topic, in the appropriate section, and ask your question there. It's also worth referring to specialized resources (like gamehacking forum), maybe they already have answers to your questions.

CD-Audio tracks - normal WAV file without compression (44100 Hz, 16-bit, stereo) and without 44-byte header at the beginning of the file (which can be trimmed by normal hex editor) and aligned to the whole sector volume (2352 bytes/sector). You can also change the extension to .DA right away, so ...

Hello,
I have read the post, and I am a little bit confused.
As far as I understand the most points are the same as with the Psnee v7
VCC
SQCK
SUBQ
DATA
GATE_WFCK
GRD
But where are the points AX-BIOS, AY-BIOS and DX-BIOS on the PlayStation motherboards?
Obviously, the points AX-BIOS, AY-BIOS ...

Re: JP 5500 - MM3 not booting
There can be a lot of reasons for the failure of work, like:
- Inconsistency of the .hex file with the chip (the chip supports instructions from the hex file)
- Wrong region of flashed .hex file (SCEI, SCEA, SCEE)
- Wrong fuses (sorry, I am not a hardware guy, but they should be set on PIC ...

Re: JP 5500 - MM3 not booting

The ROM of the Japanese region has additional checks of the boot sector on the CD. They check the 3D PS logo and the license string (during boot screen 2). These checks are in a shell program, let's just call it SHELL, (which loads the CD PLAYER and MEMORY CARD)
In this case the chip (MM3 ...

Well, that's thoroughly disappointing though. It starts to look like a real hardware (or maybe Kernel?) limitation.
Still have the big guns in reserve of course (hardware mods and BIOS patches) :p
