Differences between DTL-H1001, H1101 and H3001?

Post by XDev » April 8th, 2015, 12:56 pm

Hi guys, I am new here! I would know the differences between some DTL console.
If I would play burned games on CD-R from any region, which one of these have to buy? are these something like modded PS1 to can play backup? or does not read exactly all games?

DTL-H1001 Blue
DTL-H1101 Green
DTL-H3001 Black

Are there some differences in reading disc? I understand to BLUE and GREEN can play everything, but not sure about that, and Yaroze can play only CD-R from the owned region over to can develop on? right'? wrong?

:shrug

Thanks in advance, I think to you can explain this.

Hi. You can think of the debugging stations as just modchipped consoles by Sony. They have an unlocked mechanics controller, which, we have dumped and found the keys to. They are nothing special. Just overpriced with coloured cases. Sony did say you were supposed to test your games on two of the units, because one had the SGRAM while the other had the older VRAM.

Anyway, what you are after is a SCPH-750x series console. Just do the colour modification, install a modchip, and you're good to go.
Development Console: SCPH-5502 with 8MB RAM, MM3 Modchip, PAL 60 Colour Modification (for NTSC), PSIO Switch Board, DB-9 breakout headers for both RGB and Serial output and an Xplorer with CAETLA 0.34.

PlayStation Development PC: Windows 98 SE, Pentium 3 at 400MHz, 128MB SDRAM, DTL-H2000, DTL-H2010, DTL-H201A, DTL-S2020 (with 4GB SCSI-2 HDD), 21" Sony G420, CD-R burner, 3.25" and 5.25" Floppy Diskette Drives, ZIP 100 Diskette Drive and an IBM Model M keyboard.

The Net Yaroze can not boot copied games. The only difference with the Yaroze is that it can boot any SCEx license, so yes, it is region free.

It is seriously all useless hardware for development. A modchip replaces all of these units, and an Xplorer with CAETLA V0.34 (V0.35 for the Xplorer FX) pretty much turns your system into a DTL-H2000. It just lacks an debugger which the H2000 had.
