img2tim - Image to TIM conversion tool

Post by LameGuy64 » January 15th, 2016, 5:37 pm

Because bmp2tim is an old 16-bit DOS application that does not work on newer systems running 64-bit versions of Windows and that it only supports Windows bitmap images, I created this tool to replace bmp2tim.

This tool supports pretty much any image that the FreeImage library supports. It can use the alpha channel of images that support it (such as png) as a transparency mask which makes transparency management much easier to do.

Attached to this forum post is the tool itself with some documentation and source code included... Report any bugs to this thread if you find any.

Updated to v0.75 which fixes a bug relating to converting images in 4-bit color depth... 4-bit TIMs should export correctly now to those who have encountered this bug.

Hi. Is it possible to write a converter that will convert .BS to .TIM? Or maybe it already exists? (Not required anymore)
