Just registered to say thank you for all your effort in this nice software! I found out PS1 Menu+Trainer Tool v2.2 looking for how to insert gameshark codes in isos, and I saw its a question\demand of a lot of people. Are you planining to publicize it in other websites? BTW, I changed some things in the main.c that it generates and it allow it to insert the codes without the trainner menu, if the user wish so. Do you mind if I write a tutorial for that? Can I publicize the tutorial on other sites\forums (and spread the word about your nice software haha) or you do prefer me to do it only here? Thanks in advance and thanks again for the software!

The other day I tested the app from all sides. Well, it contains some pretty interesting ideas. But on the coding side, there are probably some things that still need improvement. It's interesting that all the cheats are in a local database, I thought they're parsed in real time from ePSXe online cheat codes database. I think a new public version of Trainer Builder will be released soon

I trained the French PAL version of this game without any issues. (Only 1 cheat, Infinite lives though)
I used the Direct method of loading instead of compress.

There shouldn't be a problem with it. It doesn't even require double compression

To use the program you need to download psy-q SDK and unzip it in the c directory.

I tried to insert the trainers in the game in french, usa and russian version. It all works using the 'direct' mode. probably some trainer codes are wrong and can crash the game.
I tried the game with the duckstation emulator, I don't know if the game crashes with other emulators.

you should change to real hardware to test the tool. Trainers are not 100% exactly. if you use w98 or maybe wXP and a comm card , you can test your tool if it really works 100% perfect.
Emulation is 50/50 that is works and depends from the emulator that were using.

i can support you with real hardware if you need it.

i tried the game also on ps1 console, only the 'direct' mode sometimes doesn't start the game.
i tried some games with the 'direct' function on ps1 hardware, sometimes loadexec won't load the game, sometimes it will.
I'm studying an alternative to this function.

New update 2.3
- Save sbi file (libcrypt games).
- Fixed the bug on reading cue files with non-standard format.
- Added alternate mode 'compress mode2', to use if the standard doesn't work.
- Added the ability to save and load an advanced project.
- Corrected and optimized some parts of the code

I've tried various trainer codes on the ps1 hardware, some crash games some don't. I also tried with the various loading methods but they still crash. for example on 007 there are 2 gameshark codes with the same function (16-bit Constant Write 80xxxxxx yyyy), one crashes the game, the other doesn't. On emulators (duckstation, epsxe...) the trainers all work without problems.
Maybe there are memory addresses on the hardware that if written cause the console to crash?
