Alternative to Unirom's NoCash Unlock?

Post by rdrtnk » February 9th, 2020, 5:03 am

Hello all,

I've posted in the Unirom's thread but I think my problem/need goes beyond it.

I've got a SCPH-1000 (the first one) and a PAR with a 128kb AT29C010A memory chip. Tried flashing Unirom V6 to it (doing the swap trick and a burned CD) but it won't load - simply black screens and freezes the console. All other 128kb EEPROMS will do right. I also tried Unirom 0.44 and 0.24 but to no avail.

Getting another PAR or GS device where I live is not a feasible option so I am trying to sort out what can I do with the one I got.

My main interest on Unirom is to use the NoCash Unlock. Is there any alternatives such as a 128kb Caetla rom with that function or a plain PAR rom to allow the use of burned cds?

Thanks for the help again!

I completely missed that out. Thanks for the info. Time to look for a new PS1.

The most safe action replay clone I know to buy is the game enhancer+ green transparent.

It mount a am290f10.. And you tell o.k but the x flash can't burn it.

But the coolest thing of the device, is the am290f10 is in socket. So you can program the eeprom directly in the pc with a cheap eeprom programmer from alliexpress. That's mean don't mater you brick it, you can reflash it. Witouth desolder the eeprom.
