Net Yaroze with a Warranty sticker seal??

Post by gwald » January 9th, 2016, 9:57 am

So I noticed my net yaroze has a warranty sticker on one of the screws:
Like this one:

From what I've seen on youtube, nobody has it
Maybe it's a refurbish?
Or maybe a late model run?

I didn't think much of it when I first got it march 1999 (kind of late in it's life).

I got it direct from SCEE UK, I can't remember how much I paid for it.. I doubt it was the full $700USD

Anyone else with it, or knows why these where put on?

Interesting anyway.

Looks like a refurbished unit? Heat it up carefully with a hair-dryer (just so it is warm) and peel that crap off.
Otherwise, you'll get uneven colouring of the fire retardant in the plastic due to oxygenation.

My Yaroze (which I got directly from Sony) also had that sticker on it - I think it was standard for the PAL ones.

Interesting. They must have just grabbed any label they could at the time to stick it on when shipping them since it doesn't obviously look like a well done job in the design aspect of it :P

You could be right, even this one from Sony UK has it, but that one is Japanese? :shrug
