Turn the potentiometer down and slowly ramp it up until an original disc works fine for you. Then, try a copied disc and see if it performs the same. If not, ramp it up again a very small amount since CD-R's need more beam power to have a good eye pattern.

I think there is a video on YouTube somewhere. Either way, if you don't know what I'm talking about then you probably shouldn't touch it.

could you make a video if you have time only if you can if i have to pay just tell me i got 4 ps1 and i moded them and i trying to sell them but the pot is my only problem

there is plenty of sites out there to tell you this but...
If your ps1 have never been opened or messed with... I would not adjust the pot unless absolutely necessary.. but if you have to,
Open the ps1 and MARK the pot in 12 o'clock positon with fine point sharpie.
turn it clockwise until the mark is at 1 o'clock or max 1:30

thats it

ya i fucked up my lazer but i going to buy a new one and then try this thanks and i messed with 2 laser from the other ps1 is there any way i can go to default pot setting or do i just buy new lazer for both of them

Any analog scope will do.
