Need help with Gran Turismo music mod

As stated in that page's description, when I put the Japanese music for the GT mode in, the sound effects became broken, as they are in different locations in the gt.ins file which is found in the MENU_IMG.ARC and also contains the soundfonts for the GT mode music, so the game uses the wrong data from that file every time a sound effect needs to be played.
I really wish I could fix that. If someone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
