Question about loading TIM files

Post by Zentek » June 10th, 2021, 8:11 pm

Hello all,
so I have some questions about the following problem:
1. How do I load TIM Files from CD (if possible with code example)
2. How do I test this in the Emulator? Via BUILDCD ? I would like to use mkpsxiso.

I hope someone can explain this things to me :D

Greetings

Have a look at wituz on YouTube. He does tutorials on loading Tim's and building cd images using his libraries

There's examples on these forums on how to load TIM files. As for loading them from the CD, there are examples on how to load data on the forums too. Sony even has examples in their SAMPLES directory. To build a CD-ROM image, there is an example under the 'Help' section.
Development Console: SCPH-5502 with 8MB RAM, MM3 Modchip, PAL 60 Colour Modification (for NTSC), PSIO Switch Board, DB-9 breakout headers for both RGB and Serial output and an Xplorer with CAETLA 0.34.

PlayStation Development PC: Windows 98 SE, Pentium 3 at 400MHz, 128MB SDRAM, DTL-H2000, DTL-H2010, DTL-H201A, DTL-S2020 (with 4GB SCSI-2 HDD), 21" Sony G420, CD-R burner, 3.25" and 5.25" Floppy Diskette Drives, ZIP 100 Diskette Drive and an IBM Model M keyboard.
