TECHNICAL_REFERENCE_CD_23_08-09-98 won't open

I mounted the bin using ImDisk Virtual Disk driver, but Windows 7 and Windows XP can't open the image. Must I burn it, or is there another issue?

I thought I would try out Psy-Q, so I installed the XP VHD on Windows 7, and I was able to compile the hello world, and run it in an emulator. I then shared a folder with my host machine to transfer files back and forth. So far, so good.

However, I only learned C last year, so I thought I would read the technical reference to see what it said.

I have only written C for Windows using the DevC IDE, and Arduino, so I was trying to figure out what everything is doing in the example hello world.

PlayStation Development PC: Windows 98 SE, Pentium 3 at 400MHz, 128MB SDRAM, DTL-H2000, DTL-H2010, DTL-H201A, DTL-S2020 (with 4GB SCSI-2 HDD), 21" Sony G420, CD-R burner, 3.25" and 5.25" Floppy Diskette Drives, ZIP 100 Diskette Drive and an IBM Model M keyboard.

Are they helpful to learn what's going on with PSY-Q?

Yes. Without those documents you wouldn't know how to use Psy-Q. If you really want to get started quickly with making something on the PlayStation though, I'd recommend Lameguys n00bSDK.
