No I don't own one and I don't know how many were made.
Would be interesting to try it though and know how many were made.

It would. I'm inclined to make it my goal to collect as many obscure playstation peripherals as possible. o.O.

Proud owner of one, and one of the Prototype ones at that. :)

There were two models; one that used normal floppies and one that HD discs. I did the review of the HD one here.



It essentially acted as a early ass DexDrive.

if we add memcard emulator to psio - it 'll be same but for SD card)))

H3h3 thats a funny piece of hardware, it even needs his own power supply
