Creating siocons cable

Post by CosmoGuy » September 27th, 2013, 5:46 am

Hi

I was inspired byt this one:
http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=372

So i managed to buy one link cable, also get crappy psx, just to desolder link-input and get usb to rs232c programmer.
Here are things i got:

This is AVR ISP USB programmer [someone at the topic about hitmen app was saying about TTL signal capable programmer but im not sure, that this one will be ok. It is used to program ATMegs]

Desoldered serial I/O with its pinout ofcourse

And brand new link cable of course

What i want to do is, without and single damage build psx programmer. I could put everything on pcb [solder psx link i/o and make few lines to 8 pins then, connect these ones with the programmer's ones, so i could get the same effect as in the topic i linked at the top ;)

PlayStation <=> (psx serial cable) <=> [desoldered serial I/O] -> pins connected to the programmer's pins <=> PC [by programmer's USB port]

I mean, how do I connect pins from serial to programmer? There's no doc about both of them :/.

I hope everyone understands me :) My english isnt great sorry :D.

Regards.
