Hi!
Tell me who is fumbling in PS1. Is it possible to remove the "12C508A" chip from the SCPH-9002 PS1192.168.1.1 from the PU-23 motherboard and replace the non-working "ZiLOG SL1925" chip in the SCPH-7002 PS1 with the PU-20 motherboard? Will pirate 7002 work and read? Or is each chip stitched for a specific set-top box model? Thanks!

It will work, but you'll need to match the pins of the modchip of the same carrier signal since if you follow a guide online for example showing you which pin solders where, it will most likely not work because each modchip is typically flashed with a different pin configuration in the PIC chip code itself.
