How to undo a PAL-M to NTSC modification on SCPH - 7501

Hello,

I am from Brazil, here we have a different color system. It is a PAL-M, something like a 60Hz PAL. Because this all psx that came here in the 90's were modified from NTSC to PAL-M.

This weekend I tried to remove this modification from my PSX model SCPH - 7501, but something got wrong. Could someone help me?

I will try to explain what have happened. I have opened my psx and found this mod there.

This circuit in the left is the new crystal to achieve the PAL-M, but the original one is placed there yet. So I read that if I want to return my video game to NTSC all that I need to do was remove these wires.

Here another pictures:

Well.., I removed the four wires but the image has turned horrible? Something like an RF signal with bad antenna.

My question is: has someone of the forum who already removed this type of modification? Are there any other point to be aware? I read that in the other side of the board there had to be a welding point too. But on my board there is not.

Could some one help me?

I think that the mod from NTSC to PAL-M is pretty like the one from NTSC to PAL. This is the reason that I came here :)

Best Regards.

There might be other mods done to the board somewhere (such as a trace cut or a pin has been lifted), so repairing it might be a bit tricky. It looks like they made their own colour frequency circuit (albeit, a horrible one) so look around the area where it was soldered for additional modifications. They might have disabled the original colour frequency line.
