PSX arrived damp?

Post by JohnoUK » December 6th, 2012, 11:02 pm

Hi all,

I've just bought a PSX to mod, however it's arrived damp (even under the CD lid), with lots of condensation inside the packaging. I've put it straight in the airing cupboard to dry it out but I'm worried it'll have caused permanent damage. I bought it from eBay so I can always send it back, but that'd be at my own cost. Do you think it'll be okay if I dry it out thoroughly before use, or not?

Cheers

The system may be okay, but the laser will be screwed.

Well I've just spoken to the seller on eBay. They said let it dry out and give it a try. If there are any problems now, or within the next month they'll replace it. Sounds fair enough to me.
