My PSNee Adventure Begins...

Post by likeabaus » July 31st, 2016, 4:33 am

Okay everyone, so for those of you who are wondering what the PSNee is, its an open source arduino based stealth modchip for the psx/ps1/psone. It was not created by me, all credit goes to the original author which can be found here: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/psn ... els.57907/

Seeing as I got stuck with an scph-9001 console without a parallel port, it looks like a modchip is my best option and seeing how I just received an Arduino Uno in the mail (my first ever), I figured this would be a fun project. So that being said, I setup my Arduino Uno and the IDE today and flashed the Uno with the PSNeev6 code today. Now, I'm waiting 30 days (from the date I received my psx) for the return policy to expire before I crack it open in case something fails like the laser lens in the mean time so I can just send it back. However, once this time has passed, I will install this into my psx and see what happens :P. Here are some pictures of the setup process.

Tried to upload the pictures here, but the file size is too large lol

BUMP

Seeing as the MM3 is so cheap right now here: http://www.eurasia.nu/shop/product_info ... cts_id=276 I think i'm just going to pick this up instead. I'll use the arduino for something else. In the meantime I'm using a PS-X-Change v2 disc for dev stuff :p

EDIT: So I decided to pursue this after all <3. Not working yet, but pictures of my progress will be uploaded soon
