Hi there,

New poster to the forum; just wondering does anyone know of a solution for a missing access card?

Is it possible to modify a stock PS1 memory card to act as a Net Yaroze Access Card? Or is there some other solution other than waiting for a few years for an access card to show up on ebay? :D

Many thanks

The easiest approach (if you have the rest of the hardware) is to use an Action Replay / Gameshark type device and patch out the checks using codes.

8006FF88 0000
8006FF8A 0000
8006FF90 0000
8006FF92 0000

You can also patch the boot disc to remove the checks - but since this requires burning it to a CD-R and modifying the console so it can boot CD-Rs you may not want to do this.

Note that there is nothing special about the Yaroze console except the color and the ability to boot discs from multiple regions (including the special "SCEW" region code the Yaroze boot disc uses) - so you can use a modded regular console and a burnt copy of the patched Yaroze boot disc.
