Hello there, how's going? :3

I've a question for you, guys...
My SCPH-1002 is working fine, but the pot for F.BIAS and F.GAIN are damaged -- so, of course, the laser doesn't working.

Somebody know the correct value for these two SMD pots?

Thanks a lot and have good day :-) !

According to your signature here, you've got the SCPH-1002 model 13 including the broken one.
Can you just look into another one which value has those SMD pots? Simple thought I know and you might be already considered but doesn't work. In case it should solve your issue, it was a pleassure to help.

What kind of damaged? Oxidized?

Probe a working unit and measure its resistance. Measure its resistance at factory spec, followed by fully closed.

Worst case swap the trim pot from a working unit temporarily, make your adjustment and measure its resistance. Recreate that using some resistors, I'm assuming some 1/2w metal films would do just fine. Probably would last a lot longer too.

15x SCPH-1002 :D (The list is no longer updated)

So, with a multimeter, I've to test the maximum range of the POT, right?
And replace with another one, of course.

Well, disoldered by accident and damaged. So, I need another smd resistor for 1002.

(Oh btw, hope you repair your 1000 very soon. I love the SCPH-1000 -- they are extremely fast during reading disc)

here is a guide for the 1002 pot measurements: http://dogbreath.de/PS1/LaserAlignment/Laser.html

hello guys, my RV701 (F.GAIN) pot is damaged. the smd pots on the board are the same? Has anyone identify them?

Hello, I think I've found (finally) the pot value

F.BIAS (14) = 10Kohm
F.GAIN (54) = 50Kohm

Let me know if works
