Red numbers pointing to pins on schematics

Hello everybody, you've got a really nice site here with tons of useful information. But there's still one thing I couldn't find. I've got many, many years of experience with wiring diagrams, but the PSOne board schematics have little red numbers with arrows pointing to most of the pins on the chips and I'm not sure what they are supposed to indicate. My first thought was expected voltage, but I don't think that's right. Does anybody know what these numbers indicate?

The red numbers are pin numbers and the arrows are the direction of the wiring connections (because they jump pages).
Development Console: SCPH-5502 with 8MB RAM, MM3 Modchip, PAL 60 Colour Modification (for NTSC), PSIO Switch Board, DB-9 breakout headers for both RGB and Serial output and an Xplorer with CAETLA 0.34.

PlayStation Development PC: Windows 98 SE, Pentium 3 at 400MHz, 128MB SDRAM, DTL-H2000, DTL-H2010, DTL-H201A, DTL-S2020 (with 4GB SCSI-2 HDD), 21" Sony G420, CD-R burner, 3.25" and 5.25" Floppy Diskette Drives, ZIP 100 Diskette Drive and an IBM Model M keyboard.

Thanks for the reply, and I know what you're referring to, but that's not it. These numbers all have little arrows (more like tiny triangles, really) pointing directly to pins on chips or specific connections in the diagram. The pin numbers themselves are present in little circles at their locations on the chips. Here is a link to an example of what I'm talking about:

Ah, those are the optimal voltage levels I believe :)

Thanks again. So, I guess my original assumption was more or less correct. I've never seen that on any other diagram before and I couldn't find any explanation for it on the diagram itself. I'll be diagnosing a board today and I'll put this theory to the test.
