I am a programming student and a game collector.

I program mostly in C# , java and JavaScript.
I program a lot of games for pc using Unity3D.

a couple month's ago I bought a complete Net Yaroze with all the docs.
Now i am starting to learn C and working with the Net Yaroze.

You should use the Yaroze a bit to learn (since you already bought it). Once you have made a few programs with it, sell it and get your money back. You don't need it. All you need is a PSX with a Parallel Port, Serial Port and the Psy-Q SDK. It is MUCH more powerful, and you can do a lot more with it.

You then only need to buy a Comms Link device, such as this (slow - no features) or this (fast - many features) which is essentially your Yaroze serial cable to link the PC to the PSX for uploading, and downloading data.

You will have more powerful debugging options, as well as a less headache with the CD-ROM and memory as you will encounter with the Yaroze. Especially when it comes to playing the games on a standard PSX as you will need to convert the ECOFF (Yaroze executables) to PSX-EXE's.
