Can You load X-flash Or Unirom using the disk swap trick??

Hey guys i've accidentally flashed my modchip with an AR cheats rom that has taken away both the cheats (Surprisingly) and the ability to load back ups and x-flash, there isnt a crdrom option on the interface to load Xflash from the menu like i've been able to do before, it also goes through the entire sony boot up with an actual game before it gets to the cheat menu as well if thats any help information wise.
I've also got a 2nd Gamars VCD cartridge (that plugs into both the aerial port and parrell port) which will load x-flash but when i go to remove the cartridge and plug in the flashed one i want to redo the system freezes, any suggestions on a fix or help offered would be greatly appreicated.
