Hello! Some questions from a n00b :D

So, I'm really hot for a PixelFX equipped PSX! I found https://www.ebay.com/itm/116327158452?_ ... _ZA&edge=0 (tad bit expensive, but what to do) add online and since I have a couple of questions regarding dev I turn to this forum!
  1. Would this console work in a PAL EU country?
  2. Since the PixelFX installation utilises the serial port hole in the chassis, is it possible to solder back the serial on some cable and have it protrude through the back?
  3. Will the PixelFX (or other mods of this unit) interfere with the serial and parallel ports for development?
  4. For the ultimate development experience with step debugging if possible, what equipment to use?
Thank you in advance for any and all answers!

The PSX from the US or Japan uses 110V, while Europe uses 220-240V. You'll need a step-down transformer to safely use the console.

Japan is 100v. The PSX's from Japan even state as much, they were only designed for 100v input. Even on 120v (my home is technically 123v), does generate a bit more heat out of them so I wouldn't lump Japanese and US consoles as the same.
