Re: MemcardRex mobile
Are you talking about running it on PS1 or on PC? Because if it's on PS1,
I would need to code it from scratch once again as this is JavaScript application.
Unless you found a way to run JS on PS1, heh

MemcardRex mobile
I've started working on mobile version of MemcardRex Memory Card manager. It's not a port of the desktop version but a complete rewrite so I got quite a few ways to go still. I'm coding in JavaScript using Meteor framework and then exporting it to mobile platforms using Cordova. http://www.psxdev.ne...

Re: PSX BIOS Dumper
Hi.
I released the project under MIT licence.
Do note that you have to use 0.1 version of PSXSDK to compile it.
Hope it helps.

Re: Custom fonts?
You can take a look at my PadTest for the font routine. It's not the best one because each letter is a sprite but it does the job. Ideally you should use a VRAM 2 VRAM copy function to construct whole paragraph and then create 1 sprite and place it in the framebuffer. That's how MGS does it for subt...

Re: Arduino Memory Card reader
DexPlorer omits unused blocks while MemcardRex doesn't, that's why there is a size difference. I figured there is no need for that as space is cheap nowadays. As for different byte in hex editor I believe DexPlorer is in error because those byte sequence contains status of each save block and accord...

My MemcardRex does exactly what you want to achieve.
You can take a look at the source here.
Edit: I also see now that you have posted on my blog. Hope this helps.

Re: Pinballoid
If you want I can take a look at the code and see if you missed something. As for initialization, PsyQ binds to BIOS routines which need initialization to work properly. Same goes for PSXSDK if you take the BIOS route. Otherwise you can access Controller and Memory Cards via memory mapped interface ...

Re: Pure vs enhanced PS1
When I play a game for the first time I want to have the intended experience so I play on hardware, but if I'm replaying a game then I'm all for enhanced experience, unless there is some unfixable flaw with the emulator(s). Example being Vagrant Story where chain abilities are not properly handled b...

Looks good.Thumbs up for using PSXSDK. But link doesn't work unfortunately.
What routines are you using for Gamepad and Memoy Cards?
BIOS ones or direct hardware access (PSXSDK provided)?

Re: Arduino Memory Card reader
I figured out the problem. It's related to newer editions of Arduino SDK. For some reason functions now can't take 2 (or more?) byte arguments... It's probably a bug. Solution for now is to use an older build of Arduino SDK. I already found a workaround so I'll update MemCARDuino to version 0.3. I'l...

Re: Arduino Memory Card reader
It looks like there is no communication between the card and Arduino. Check your wiring to make sure you connected everything properly. I recommend using a multimeter. Since it's a clone check if 5V pin actually gives 5 volts. Post results. -- I do have to say that I have one 3rd pary card that won'...

Re: Arduino Memory Card reader
Bodzio_2, try to run this modified version for debugging.
Upload it to your Arduino, open serial monitor at 38400 bps and post results.
It should look like the attached image.

Re: UniROM 0.2 [new menu, nocash unlock, fastboot]
Sure, you can use MCLaunch. If you want I can also give you the source.
You could list and launch programs found on Memcards right from the main menu of your application.

You can use MCLaunch for that but there is a 112 KB size limit so it's not suitable for everything.sicklebrick wrote:Hmm, I see what you mean, yeah - that program and/or something to launch .exe's off a memcard would be pretty handy.
